São inúmeras as igrejas de Bolonha, quase em todas as ruas existe uma ,de maior ou menor dimensão, mas bastante diferentes a nível arquitectónico.
Vou partilhar convosco algumas das que visitei, confesso que são muito menos do que aquelas por onde passei, mas como o tempo era escasso, algumas ficaram por ver. Noutros casos, devido ao horário não foi possível visitar o interior.

A tradição fala de uma igreja dedicada a S. Bartolomeu já no século V, construída por São Petrónio sobre os alicerces de uma igreja cristã primitiva.

No local onde hoje se ergue a basílica, existia uma igreja, no séc. XIII, relativamente pequena, com a fachada voltada para a Piazza di Porta Ravegnana.

A igreja com o aspecto que hoje conhecemos remonta aos séc. XVI/II e incorpora o pórtico do palácio Gozzadini. O novo edifício é maior e tem a fachada voltada para a Strada Maggiore.

A igreja está localizada na praça do mesmo nome, elevada vários metros, em relação às ruas circundantes. Segundo consta a sua construção teve início no ano 443.

As origens desta igreja estão ligadas à lenta recuperação da cidade após a queda do Império Romano e com a presença de San Petronio, em Bolonha, e ao simbolismo que os lugares santos de Jerusalém, desempenharam no complexo de
Santo Stefano. Este lugar tenta recriar o Monte das Oliveiras.
There are numerous churches in Bologna, almost every street has one, bigger or smaller, but quite different architectonic level.
I will share with you some of the ones I visited, I confess they are much less than the ones I went through, but as time was scarce, some remained to be seen. In other cases, due to the timetable, it was not possible to visit the interior.
